Intro to Ag students were able to tour American Crystal in Drayton this week as part of our plant science unit. Students had the opportunity to see all parts of the facility and learn about the different stages of processing.









FCS I discussed the importance of reading to children. They wrote and illustrated original books which had to include several types of figurative language. Today, they were able to share their creations with 1st graders!










Tomorrow starts our last week before semster break. Student Council is hosting a schoolwide dress up week. Show your holiday spirit by dressing up in flannels tomorrow :)

Tonight's Cavalier School Bands and Choirs Concert will be streamed on the school YouTube channel, Tornado Watch, as well as being open to the public for a free live concert at the HS Gym starting at 7pm. Tune in or stop in and enjoy some beautiful holiday music from our students
Seniors are studying about our government in Problems of Democracy and get to try their hand at legislating as they participate in the House of Representatives & Senate in a Mock Congress. Students are getting first hand experience at how hard it is to get a bill from idea to "law" as they consider potential ideas to improve our school. Only time will tell if these students can get their bills through both houses of "Congress" and to Mr. Moquist's desk!!




Due to impending weather this evening, the Boys Jr. High Basketball game has been cancelled. The Junior Varsity and Varsity games will still take place, but the JV Game will start at 5:00pm with varsity to follow.

Cavalier's Bands and Choirs Concert will be held at 7pm on Monday, December 11 in the Cavalier High School Gym. Band students should be in the band room with instruments by 6pm, Choir students should be to the band room by 6:30 to warm up. 5th Grade Band will play first.

For anyone traveling to the Fargo/Moorhead area and want to check out the art show, it is located in the Cyrus M. Running Gallery, Concordia College. Hours M-F 9-4:30pm, S 1-4pm beginning on December 6th. There will be a closing reception on Tuesday, January 16th from 5:00-6:30pm.





Elementary Music Program will be held on Monday, December 4th at 7pm in the gym. Doors open at 6:20pm, student piano players will begin a prelude of holiday music by 6:40pm. PreK thru 5th grade will be singing to get you in the holiday spirit! Hope to see you there!
