8th graders will get their floats on Thursday because of their field trip tomorrow.
5th Grade end of the year book reports. Students reported different story elements from their favorite book of the year. Students analyzed the plot and inferred theme among others. They read some pretty awesome books and grew as readers, check out the Cavalier PTO page for titles recommendations from the 5th grade class!
Congratulations to our students who performed at the Class B State Music Contest this weekend, the girls' quartet and girls' sextet eacher earned Excellent (1) ratings, as did Ariana Thebeau's clarinet solo and Fletcher Kemp and Vivian Ibarra's trumpet and clarinet duet. Three groups received star ratings: Jocelyn Newman's vocal solo, Lia Allred and Jocelyn Newman's vocal duet, and Kaymee Kemp and Malory Kemp's vocal duet. Congratulations!

The Cavalier Elementary Student Council visited several businesses today to promote our Elementary School Virtues. These virtues guide our character and behavior throughout our day. Each business will be displaying our virtues, too. We hope to visit more business soon. Thank you to the following buisnesses for allowing us to present to you: North Star Community Credit Union, United Valley Bank, Ag Country.
Dollars for Scholars will be serving Root Beer Floats as a fundraiser for each graduating class at Cavalier! Send a minimum of a $1 donation that can go to your child's graduation class. Thanks for supporting scholarships for ALL of our future Cavalier graduates!
Coca-Cola is changing their rewards program and will no longer be accepting the codes from bottle tops and boxes as of June 30th! We have been fortunate the past couple of years to use these rewards to support our reading program and classroom libraries. If you have any codes at home, please send them to the school before the end of the year so we can get them inputted before the June 30th deadline. THANKS!
Mrs. Hay and her class took advantage of the nice weather on Wednesday to pick up trash on school grounds for Kindness Week.
